Inner Beauty
How do we learn to love and appreciate ourselves without judging our exterior?
You know, I think even the most beautiful people in the world still judge themselves without cause.
We tell ourselves that we are  too old, too fat, too skinny, too shy, too different, too poor, too ugly, too dumb, too scared… Too everything!!!!
Our poor brain. How can it cope with all this self loathing?Â
It can’t!
Eventually we become Depressed from all the negativity we have fed our brain over the years.
Mumsy is someone I follow and care about very much. Reading her post, she was having one of those days where if something was going to go wrong, it did! When the day was over  she realised looking in the mirror that things about her body weren’t as they once were and it made her feel down. I wanted to hug her so much and tell  her none of that matters and she’s a beautiful person. For some reason, you can’t jump through a computer!*laughing*
So it got me thinking about the whole body image thing and how guilty I am of picking on myself every day.
I don’t care what anyone else looks like, I love them for who they are. So why are we so unkind to ourselves?
I think I weigh myself about 6 times a day! What the? Do I really think it’s going to change that much in a day? No! but it becomes such a psychological nightmare that you’re looking for any change, no matter how small! How huge do we think we really are? Since I was a young girl weighing 45 kilos, I’ve always had body issues. What the hell – 45 kilos and I still didn’t like myself. How distorted is that for thinking? So no wonder now at  44 I think I’m disfigured at  58 kilos! I never look and judge anyone else, so why do I berate myself so much? *Blah*
Medication puts on weight and we all struggle with who we have become- over who we once were.
But you know what? No matter how big or small  you are, you’re still you! The same kind, loving, caring, compassionate person you have always been.
This is definitely a psychological thought that we need to change! But how??
Why does it usually take an accident, or something else serious like cancer, before we realise how lucky we’ve always been!Â
Love you Mumsy! xxx

As I previously stated, there are soo many who I would care to mention. I apologise if I have left you out, please do not feel offended as I have just attempted to not consume your time as each blog is a journey of its own.
There are many stories out there waiting to be told, or that have been told. I feel that these ones in particular are important for everyone to be exposed to.
To all the people that I follow and vice versa, I thoroughly enjoy the times we spend in this cyber realm. You are each a great inspiration and help to me, to mention all of you would take me all day.

“Freunde fĂźrs Leben” (Friends for Life)
I came across a great interview via Alexa at Colored Blue.
If you have chance, watch Justin Furstenfeld of “Freunde fĂźrs Leben” (Friends for Life) and his talk about dealing with Bipolar. It’s really fascinating – a raw and honest look at this illness.
Thanks Alexa this is truly a great interview and insight into the minds of people with Bipolar.
Alexa got to meet him which was a very humbling experience for her!! *hugs to Alexa*

A word from me to you
Hello
I just thought I would have a chat about depression. I speak – amongst other things – about what the situation was around my breakdown, how I should have asked for help, and how much blogging means to me now.
When I say that Depression can be cured… doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t need medication to aid this.. It depends on what type of depression your suffering!

Reader Appreciation – Extra Acknowledgement!
Firstly, a very big THANK YOU! to Ahamin at http://ahamin.wordpress.com for nominating me for the Reader Appreciation Award. Ahamin has been very supportive of my blogging efforts, and I am so very much indebted to him. If you haven’t already done so, please spend an enjoyable time looking through his writings and insights.
He is an upcoming writer and author of the best selling novel: “Psychs”
Here are the rules for the awards… The rules for receiving these awards are as follows.
- Provide a link and thank the blogger who nominated you for this award/s.
- Answer 10 questions.
- Nominate 10-12 blogs that you find a joy to read.
- Provide links to these nominated blogs and kindly let the recipients know that they have been nominated.
- Include the award logo within your blog post.
And then there is the awkward task of answering 10 questions. OK. Here goes…
Your favourite colour? :
Pink. It makes me happy. Simple as that.
Your favourite animal? :
Cats. Specifically my cat – Sakura. She is my favourite person as well.
Your favourite non-alcoholic drink? :
Is there a non-alcoholic drink? Looking through my pantry, there are bags of tea, and those cool capsules for the Nespresso coffee machine. Given the rarity of my making coffee, I’d have to say my favourite is tea.
Facebook or Twitter? :
What is Twitter? I am a complete novice on this but one day I would like to take the Twitter journey.
Your favourite pattern? :
Floral. And probably a pink one at that.
Do you prefer getting or giving presents? :
Giving.
Your favourite number? :
5. It’s just the easiest. I’m so indecisive that anything other than the more obvious middle is just too hard.
Your favourite day of the week? :
It has to be Friday.
Your favourite flower?:
Azalia.
What is your passion? :
Do I have to have one? Actually, one of my character flaws is an obsessive tendency… so my passion today can be completely different to my passion tomorrow. If i had to nominate just one then I guess it would be collecting clowns. Lots of people don’t like clowns and many people tell me that find clowns scary – but I don’t. I LOVE clowns, and add to my collection quite often.
As I have previously recieved this award, I felt that I should show appreciation to Ahamin for nominating me again, hence the repost.
A quick show of support to these fine men would go a long way as well:
